The Essex County Hotel is the only hotel in the seaside resort of Southend to be able to offer 75 luxury rooms, a 120-seater quality restaurant and 2 licensed bars.
With several dining and conference rooms, the hotel can comfortably accommodate parties of anything from 2 to 250 people. There are 75 well-equipped en suite rooms and ample free car parking available for all guests. The hotel is also fully licensed to carry out wedding ceremonies and equipped to host your evening reception.
The Essex County Hotel is the largest, privately owned hotel in Southend-on-Sea. It offers 75 en suite bedrooms, accommodating guests in single, double, family, executive and four-poster rooms. Set in 8 acres of grounds and with the comforts of a home away from home, for business or pleasure the Essex County Hotel is the perfect venue.
The Essex County Hotel has a warm and cosy lounge where you can enjoy a drink from the well stocked bar, or a snack or afternoon tea in front of the log fire on one of our soft and inviting sofas. You can also watch Sky Sports on the Plasma TV.
You can walk through the lounge to the warm and friendly atmosphere of The Vineyard restaurant which offers both á la carte and fixed price menus complemented by a comprehensive wine list for the discerning connoisseur. The Vineyard menus are constantly being developed to ensure every visit is an exciting dining experience.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All guests are required to provide on arrival a swipe of a credit or debit card (accepted cards only) for pre-authorisation. Without this, a cash deposit of 100 GBP, accompanied by photo ID will be required.

By road: Leave the m25 at Junction 29, keep on the left of the slip road and take the a127 towards Southend. Stay on the a127 until you reach the forty miles per hour speed limit. Keep following the road and at the first roundabout you come to, (Tesco Supermarket) take the left filter lane onto the b1013 towards Rochford. At the next roundabout, turn right & go straight on. At the next roundabout, take the second exit (straight on). At the mini roundabout turn left into Aviation Way. The Essex County Hotel is about 100 metres on your right hand side.Alternatively follow the Brown Tourist Direction signs from the Tesco's roundabout. By rail: The nearest mainline station is Rochford on London's Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria line. Taxis are available at the station for transfer with a journey time of about four minutes. If travelling from London's Fenchurch Street Station is more convenient, take the train to Southend Central Station. Taxis are available at the station and the journey time is about twelve minutes.
